Y Combinator, a US-based early-stage startup accelerator, has revealed its Winter 2023 cohort, featuring 12 Indian startups among the 282 selected globally. With over 20,000 applications received, this batch includes companies operating in open source, dev tools, AI, and various other sectors such as B2B/enterprise SaaS, fintech, healthcare, consumer, proptech, climate, energy, sustainability, and aerospace.
Y Combinator offers startups in its cohort a $500,000 investment, with $125,000 provided for 7% equity and an additional $375,000 with an uncapped MFN (Most Favored Nation) clause. Founded in 2005, Y Combinator is a renowned startup accelerator with a network of over 9,000 founders and a track record of funding more than 3,500 startups with a combined valuation of approximately $1 trillion.
