DPIIT Calls for Submissions for the 2023 National Start-up Awards

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has unveiled the fourth edition of the National Startup Awards, with a focus on celebrating innovation throughout India, aligning with Vision India @2047. DPIIT has opened the application process from April 1 to May 31, spanning 20 diverse categories, including aerospace, retail, and emerging technologies. The selection of startups will be based on their alignment with current economic priorities in India and globally.

DPIIT has announced a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh for the winning startup in each category. Additionally, both winners and finalists will receive exclusive government support, such as access to investors and government networks, mentorship, international market exposure, and connections with corporations and unicorns.

The National Startup Awards initiative was launched in 2020 with the objective of recognizing and rewarding exceptional startups and ecosystem enablers that are creating innovative products and demonstrating significant social impact. Over the past three years, the initiative has garnered active participation from more than 6,400 startups and has acknowledged over 450 startups as winners and finalists.
