Leena Tiwari, born on 9th March 1957 in Suburban Mumbai, India, grew up in a family consisting of her father, Arvind Vithal Gandhi, a businessman, her mother, Dr. Sushila, and her sisters, Sheela and Sunita.
For her education, she attended schools in Mumbai and pursued a B.Com degree from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. She further enhanced her knowledge by obtaining an MBA from Boston University in the USA, complementing her earlier academic achievement of a B.Com from Bombay, India.
Presently, Leena Tiwari serves as the Chairperson of USV Private Limited, utilizing her expertise and leadership in driving the company's success.

In 1960, Leena's grandfather, Vithal Balakrishna Gandhi, established USV Pharma Private Limited, a renowned pharmaceutical and biotechnology company committed to delivering top-notch medical solutions. Vithal Gandhi, a respected social reformer and politician, laid the foundation for USV as a small-scale venture. Initially, the company focused on importing medicines from the American company Revlon and distributing them across various branches to establish collaborative partnerships.
USV primarily specializes in the production of advanced biological medications for diabetic and cardiovascular conditions, offering both active pharmaceutical drugs and injectable formulations. Under Leena's guidance, the company established a formulation plant in Gujarat, a western region of India. Today, USV operates across 75 countries, leading the production of Metformin in India and experiencing consistent growth in profitability and market presence. Being concerned about humanitarians, Leela, along with Dr.Sushila Tiwari, supported deprived girls wherever women mentored through educational instruction, dance, and computers.
She is also part of many philanthropist activities. In 2019, she donated moreover US$4 million and ranked 3rd among the top women philanthropist of 2019. Further explicit helping, led her to stand as 23rd in Hurun India Philanthropist 2019.

Leela tied the knot with Prashant Tiwari, the Managing Director of USV Private Limited. Despite being a successful business tycoon, she cherishes quality time with her loving husband and their two adorable children, Vilas and Aneesha.
