Revolutionizing Communication: Vitra.ai's AI-Powered Solution Breaks Language Barriers for Videos and Podcasts

In 2020, Akash Nidhi P S and Satvik Jagannath established Vitra.ai, an innovative video translation platform driven by artificial intelligence. This platform aims to address the common frustration of discovering captivating online content only to realize it's in an unfamiliar language. Satvik Jagannath, Co-Founder of Vitra.ai, emphasizes the platform's mission: "In today’s time, everyone is creating content, but many fail to reach a wider audience because of the language barrier."

Vitra.ai specializes in translating rich content media formats such as videos, images, websites, podcasts, and text into over 75 languages with just one click. The founders claim their solutions are 100 times faster and 80% cheaper than manual translation processes globally.

With a focus on diverse languages, including Arabic, Bangla, Dutch, and Gujarati, Vitra.ai primarily caters to news outlets, social media influencers, and video content creators. However, the platform has also engaged with clients in sectors like edtech, media, fintech, and health tech. Nidhi PS highlights that the global market for translation is projected to reach $98.11 billion by 2028, emphasizing the immense potential for Vitra.ai's services.

The startup gained recognition by participating in the Tech 30 Pitch Fest at TechSparks Bengaluru 2023, an event hosted by YourStory. The founders express gratitude for the exposure and learning opportunities, stating that the event provided invaluable feedback and connections that contributed to their growth.

Vitra.ai's offerings include three products: translate.video, translate.website, and translate.photo, allowing users to translate videos, websites, and images effortlessly. The products, designed as drag-and-drop and no-code solutions, make translation accessible to a wide audience. According to Nidhi PS, a 10-minute video typically takes only five to six minutes to translate.

The startup primarily targets B2B enterprises, collaborating with notable names like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Star, and ICICI Securities. Additionally, Vitra.ai introduced a B2C SaaS product called Translate.video, catering specifically to influencers seeking to expand their reach by translating content into multiple languages.

What sets Vitra.ai apart is its departure from literal word-to-word translations. Instead, the platform employs a context-aware engine for more natural and human-like translations. The AI-based system includes features like auto-suggestion, auto-correction, and semantic correction, along with a proprietary voice cloning engine capable of cross-language voice cloning.

Jagannath acknowledges the competition in the translation space, citing agencies like TransPerfect, Lionbridge, WeLocalize, and startups like PaperCup, Devnagri, Dubverse.ai, and DubDub.ai. However, he asserts that Vitra.ai stands out as the only company capable of translating all rich content media formats into 75 languages.

After an initial six months of bootstrapping, Vitra.ai secured funding from 100x.vc and Inflexor VC, totaling approximately $560,000. With a focus on both enterprises and influencers, the startup has experienced substantial growth, boasting over 40,000 organic signups in recent months.

Looking ahead, Jagannath envisions Vitra.ai becoming the go-to translation platform for all rich content media formats. The ultimate goal is to break language barriers and make the web accessible to billions of people worldwide.
